Evidation appoints Phil Johnson as Chief Commercial Officer

Company adds Ian Lennox to the Board of Directors

San Mateo, CA — Thursday, October 3rd, 2024 — Evidation, the market leader in direct-to-participant health research solutions, welcomes Phil Johnson as Chief Commercial Officer. In his new role, Johnson will focus on scaling Evidation’s commercial operations, expanding partnerships, and enhancing the company’s impact on healthcare through its digital platform and community.

Johnson brings a wealth of experience in healthcare technology, real world data, and commercial strategy to his role at Evidation. As an executive at Tempus AI, Johnson held senior leadership roles in Clinical Diversity and Innovation, Life Sciences, and Platform Services. At Amazon Web Services, he launched a healthcare and life sciences business unit focused on building strategic partnerships with the fastest growing US healthcare companies.

In addition to Johnson’s appointment, Evidation is pleased to announce that Ian Lennox has joined the company’s Board of Directors. Lennox brings more than three decades of leadership experience in healthcare, life sciences, and enterprise technology. Mr. Lennox is a member of the board of several private companies. As a seasoned board member and executive, Lennox has successfully guided numerous companies through high-growth phases and complex transformations. His deep expertise in scaling organizations will be invaluable as Evidation continues to grow.

Bertina Yen, Evidation's Senior Vice President of People & Community
Bertina Yen is Evidation's Senior Vice President of People & Community, where she is responsible for the end-to-end employee experience and building a community that supports everyone's ability to show up as their authentic selves and perform their best work. Prior to joining Evidation, Bertina served as EVP overseeing clinical teams, product management, marketing, and product development at Zynx Health, driving development of evidence-based clinical decision support solutions that improve health and financial outcomes.
Bertina received her BAS from Stanford, then completed her MD and residency in internal medicine at UC San Diego. She also holds an MPH in health services administration from UCLA.
Bertina is the resident DJ at Evidation and sources the music that is played during the All-Employee Meetings. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and watching anything with a live audience (sporting events, plays, movies). She also starts every morning by completing at least one crossword puzzle!
